Lakers still ‘team to beat’ in West

Out of sight, out of mind. The way the human mind works is if you don’t see something, it’s easy to forget it. That seems to be the case this year in the NBA. Teams like the Phoenix Suns and Utah Jazz have emerged as surprise stories.

The Los Angeles Clippers seem hellbent on avenging their epic collapse from last year. The Brooklyn Nets formed the best trio of superstars the league has ever seen.

So, where does that leave the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers? That’s a damn good question. Let me be clear! The Lakers’ aspirations of repeating as champions are contingent on the health of LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

I trust that the two of them will be healthy and that they will rise and shine when it matters most. By no stretch of the imagination will this be an easy feat.

However, there is no duo better than a healthy LeBron/AD. No matter what seed the Lakers finish, they will enter the playoffs as one of the most dangerous teams left standing.

People have forgotten what “Playoff LeBron” represents. And that’s okay. Again, lingering injuries coupled with an already shortened season have minimized his impact this year. MARC MY WORDS!

The Lakers are winning back-to-back titles, and when the smoke clears KING JAMES will be proclaimed the best player in the world.
